Help, I Have a 46" Toshiba TV that h a DVI input and my DVR-HD box is HDMI I have audio but no picture have anyone ever experience this problem with the (Scientific Atlanta 8300HD DVR) or dose anyone have a fix's for this, Please let me know.PS:My cable 3ft long. Thank You Vinnie
do you mean you have picture and no audio, not the other way around? If this is true, DVI is strictly picture so you need to hook up a separate audio into the TV.
If what you stated is true (not typo) then I'm stumped how you got audio via the DVI connection.
Help,Please I have SA 8300HD with HDMI output to a LCD with DVI input, I get great picture but no sound. Would I get sound if I used the coxax or fiber to a stero... very confused, adelphia blames SA and SA blames Adelphia ... HELP

Hdmi does carry audio but only to another hdmi end. Dvi is only video. So your hdmi to dvi will not carrry audio. You will need to send audio via coax or optical.
