I'm a newbie at this Home theater set-up thing and I hope you guys could recommend something for me. As you can see, my room is not that big (9x18) and I'm really on a tight budget ($300 max). Would a Kenwood HTB-205 be just right? What can you guys say about this? What are my alternatives? and Where can I find the best deal?
Another thing, I already have a DVD player but if I decide to buy a new one, what brand/model do you suggest?
I'm trying to stay away from the all-in-one set-up since people say that they are not a good investment .

I have the kenwood HTB-205. The receiver is user friendly. The speakers it comes with IMO are not very good, and it has a passive sub which kind of makes it lack the *boom* which I like to have. For the price though, it's a good system to have.

You might consider the Kenwood HTB-505 which has better everything.
