Hi I have a Panasonic SC-ht05 hooked up to a dvd player and Satellite Box. When watching DVD's the sound is perfect but when watching some channels on TV the sound from my surround and front speakers (but not center) has a subtle but irritating distorted sound attached to the audio coming through. It's kind of like a crackly echo of the dialogue. I have my Satellite hooked up directly to my receiver with RCA cables (there is no digital audio out on my satellite receiver). This distortion only seems to happen when I am listening through Dolby Pro Logic II. Any suggestions?
This is common. For typical broadcasts, most of the information will be directed to your center channel speaker when using Pro Logic II.
Is the sound so bad that you can hear it from your seating position, or only when you get up close to the speaker? If it's noticable from where you are sitting, consider watching TV in basic stereo.
