Zensonic Announces the Z710 Wireless Headphones

Astounding range with new wireless headphones
Wednesday 4th August 2004 — Adelaide, SA

New wireless headphones from Australian home theatre designer Zensonic transmit through walls and ceilings using radio frequency technology.

The Zensonic Z710 headphones deliver clear, rich sound, up to 100m from the source — whether a home theatre system, stereo or computer.

“First generation wireless headphones which have been around for years use infra-red transmission — the same method used for TV remote controls,” said Zensonic’s Raaj Menon. “Our new radio frequency headphones provide stunningly clear sound that doesn’t drop out if you walk out of sight of the transmitter.”

The Z710s come with long-life internal batteries which can be recharged simply by docking the headphones with the transmitter station.

Internally, the headphone’s high quality 40mm drivers deliver dramatically rich bass and crisp high-notes with a 20Hz to 20KHz dynamic range.

“It’s time home theatre and computer-driven sound went wireless,” said Zensonic’s Menon, who also explained that the headphones use a different radio frequency to WiFi networking, and therefore wouldn’t interfere.

The revolutionary Z710 wireless headphones cost AU$99/US$69/€59/£39 and will ship worldwide in late September.
