Yamahas DVD-C750 Progressive Scan Universal DVD Changer Does it All at a Reasonable Price

–DVD Changer Features SACD and DVD-Audio Playback with
Progressive Scan for Film-Like and Video Quality Playback–

INDIANAPOLIS — Yamaha Electronics Corporation, the leaders in digital audio and video reproduction, introduces the DVD-C750, a high-quality competitively priced DVD changer designed for the budget-conscious consumer looking to reduce costs, not performance.
To optimize video quality and enhance the home theater experience, the DVD-C750 progressive scan DVD changer features a 108MHz/12-bit video DAC that provides a high resolution picture for a smoother, film-like image when viewed on a HDTV or large screen. The DVD-C750 supports both NTSC and PAL video signals, and can convert NTSC DVDs to PAL and vice-versa. There are four Video Picture Modes for detailed adjustments–Brightness, Contrast, Tint and Color–and each setting allows the user to enhance the picture for maximum quality depending on the lighting conditions in the viewing area.

In addition to its outstanding video compatibility, this universal audio DVD Changer features a 192kHz/24-bit audio DAC that improves overall audio performances including the two most popular enhanced audio formats on the market today, SACD and DVD-Audio. The DVD-C750 also supports CD up-sampling (2X and 4X) for an improved audio performance that provides smooth playback of ordinary audio CDs.
The DVD-C750 is packed with versatile features and is capable of playing almost any type of audio or video disc format available, including DVD-Audio, SACD, DVD-Video, DVD+RW/+R (Video/VR format), DVD-R/-RW (Video format), SVCD, VCD, Audio CD, Picture CD and CD-R/RW. It is also compatible with DivX, WMA, MP3, and JPEG files. MP3 and JPEG files can be played simultaneously as musical slide shows and can be accessed via the player’s Navigation Display.
Other important features include 6-Step Multiple Zoom, CD Text Display, Resume (5-disc memory) Play, Multiple Repeat Play, Program Play, 3-Step Dimmer, Screen Saver, Child Lock (DVD and VCD) and Multi-Angle, Multi-Aspect, Multi-Language and Multi-Subtitle capabilities. Yamaha’s patented PlayXchange has become an essential staple of its DVD players, allowing the user to open the tray and change four discs while the fifth one continues to play, so there’s no need to interrupt the movie or music to add or remove discs.
The DVD-C750, priced at $299, will be available in October 2004 and can be seen during the CEDIA 2004 show at Yamaha’s booth (#424), Indianapolis Convention Center, beginning September 10.
