VizionWare Hi-Wirez 1650 Cables Achieve SimplayHD Verification

Hi-Wirez 1650 Series of Active HDMI Cables Exceed Stringent Testing Criteria

AUSTIN, TX — September 6, 2007 — VizionWare announced today that their Hi-Wirez 1650 Series of Active HDMI interconnects has passed both the ATC and SimplayHD Labs testing protocols and were granted the prestigious SimplayHD verification of compliance.

“All of us here at VizionWare are very pleased and excited by the formal recognition from Simplay Labs,” said Larry Woodson, president and CEO of VizionWare. “We’ve worked very hard to design and build the finest HDMI cables available, and it’s very gratifying to have our efforts acknowledged in this way.”

Prior to submission to Simplay Labs for testing, Hi-Wirez cables had to be submitted to the ATC (Authorized Testing Center) facility in Silicon Valley where they were measured against strict Electrical and Dimensional standards pursuant to the HDMI 1.3a specification (see www.HDMI.org for details). Once the Hi-Wirez cables passed ATC’s requirements, they were sent to Simplay Labs for testing against even tighter electrical specifications and the equivalent dimensional specifications, ensuring their outstanding performance and compatibility with other High Definition products.

“HDMI offers users the most advanced, highest quality, most convenient signal transmission method in the realm of Digital Video & Audio”, said Joe Lee, marketing director and “technology evangelist” for Silicon Image, the parent company of Simplay Labs and one of the founders of HDMI Licensing, LLC. “In order to earn the SimplayHD logo, a product has to prove that it meets the highest standards for acquiring and sharing a high-definition digital signal. Our laboratories also test products for performance and interoperability, to make sure all verified devices work together flawlessly. We are very pleased to confirm that the superb Hi-Wirez cables from VizionWare passed our rigorous tests with flying colors and have been granted SimplayHD verification.”

The SimplayHD verification covers all Hi-Wirez 1650 Series cables from 5 to 20 meters in length, with the new, just-announced 30 meter version slated for submission shortly.

Hi-Wirez Advanced Technology
Hi-Wirez takes a radically different approach to video cabling that combines several revolutionary active digital technologies – such as Image Enhancement, Signal Balancing, Digital Signal Conditioning, and Enhanced Transmission Technology – embedded into silicon chips that are designed to provide unparalleled video performance. By embedding these chips into both the transmitting and receiving ends, Hi-Wirez provides a completely protected end-to-end link between the source and the display device. The proprietary, patent-pending technologies built into every Hi-Wirez cable result in:

• Superior Picture Quality
• Maximum Speed and Compatibility
• Transmission Enhancement
• Signal Balancing
• Extended Cable Reach and Lower Installation Cost
• Installation Flexibility
• Maximum Reliability

Hi-Wirez HDMI cables are available in 1, 2, 5, 7, 10, 15, 20, and 30-meter lengths and are much lighter, less rigid, and less bulky than traditional HDMI cables, making them easier to install in today’s complex installation environments. Their ability to dramatically reduce EMI emissions and to resist interference generated by external sources allows more location options and increased reliability in wiring runs of all lengths.

Hi-Wirez digital interconnects do not require intermediate signal boosters like many of today’s competitive cable products, eliminating the need for installers to plan for and install these sometimes costly yet only marginally effective accessories into the cable path. Hi-Wirez advanced digital interconnects simply deliver the best High-Definition performance available.

Talking Points
• Hi-Wirez has achieved Simplay Labs SimplayHD verification for compliance and compatibility.
• Verification required rigorous testing by ATC followed by testing to more stringent standards by Simplay Labs.
• Hi-Wirez incorporates numerous proprietary technologies which afford a wide array of benefits.
• Hi-Wirez unequalled performance is not affected by cable length: they are “reach-independent.”
• Hi-Wirez do not require intermediate signal boosters like many of today’s competitive cable products
• Hi-Wirez delivers the best High-Definition performance available.

About VizionWare
VizionWare has developed and applied a patented core silicon technology to create a complete family of next generation digital interconnect products. The company’s award-winning digital technology delivers numerous unique technological advances – including image enhancing circuitry, signal balancing, enhanced transmission technology between the source and sink cable ends – leading to unprecedented improvements to HDMI and DVI digital interconnect cables and adapters. These key advances overcome the limitations of passive analog and pseudo-active cables, enhancing transmission between the source and sink cable ends and lowering EMI radiation and interference with other wired and wireless connections, while delivering theater quality signals to the display independent of cable length.
