Universal Electronics Inc. (UEI) (NASDAQ:UEIC) announced that VIZIO, Inc. has selected UEI to supply universal remote control solutions for its newest line of MAXIMVS large format plasma televisions, scheduled to be released in 2007.
This announcement comes on the heels of a successful year-long relationship between UEI and VIZIO, wherein UEI has been a supplier of remote control devices for VIZIO’s 2006 range of plasma and LCD HDTV solutions.
A Sleek Design Combined With World-Class Control Technology
UEI will continue to provide VIZIO with innovative control solutions for the newest line of plasma and LCD HDTVs due out in early 2007. These new remotes will be equipped with UEI’s unparalleled device code database for universal compatibility, as well as unique patented technologies including enhanced features such as a direct set, one-touch macro and innovative backlighting technology. UEI’s highly experienced design team worked closely with VIZIO to develop a stylish and functional design to control the new 60 inch line of VIZIO HDTV plasma televisions.
