ValueFirst to host mybrand contest

ValueFirst, the leading player in Enterprise mobile data services is hosting the SMS based “mybrand” contest which will allow people to choose their favorite brand.

The objective of the contest is two-fold. One, the contest will help brands know their standing amongst the SMS savvy community. Secondly, the contest would also act as a case study for the direct marketing companies and brands that are still shy of including SMS as an integral part of 360 degree marketing campaign.

People can SMS their brand of choice by sending message at
3636 mybrand

The contest is open from 13th February, 2007 to 13th March, 2007 for all people residing in India and people cannot post more than one answers. The results will be out on 12th March when the top 5 brands of choice will be declared.

In a recent press report by telecom.com it was quoted, “Mobile is creating the long sought-after promise of a one-to-one dialogue with the consumer and is a relationship of engagement rather than disruption, which prior advertising models embraced.” If SMS marketing is done on permission based, it is certainly more effective because it is targeted and one-to-one. Mobile as a marketing medium is more effective than other mediums as it is always on and personal to the consumer.
