Universal Remote Control Names Dan Gossel Grand Prize Winner in Triumph with Control Contest

Minnesota Installer for Supercalibrations Wins Powerful Triumph Thruxton Motorcycle in Contest Based on MSC-400 Master System Controller

HARRISON, NY, Dec. 20, 2007 — Universal Remote Control, Inc., the leader in control system design and manufacturing for home and professional entertainment systems, has named custom installation specialist Daniel J. Gossel the Grand Prize Winner of its “Triumph with Control” Contest. Gossel receives the Grand Prize of a powerful Triumph Thruxton Motorcycle.

“I’m very excited about winning this,” said Gossel, lead installer for Supercalibrations, a custom home electronics specialist in White Bear Lake, near Minneapolis, Minnesota. “This will be my first bike. I’ve wanted one for quite a while,” Gossel added, noting that the news came as such a surprise he thought at first it might be a joke.

URC’s contest was a virtual race for custom installers in which participants could increase their chances of winning the Grand Prize drawing through their knowledge of or experience with URC’s pioneering MSC-400 Master System Controller. There was no cost to participate.

The Triumph Thruxton awarded to Gossel is a faithful version of a Sixties racer, with adjustable front and rear suspension, aluminum rims and a floating front disc. It combines classic style and perfect proportions with a modern attitude and exhilarating, fluid performance. Its 865cc air-cooled power plant is the most powerful in Triumph’s twin-cylinder line-up. The sturdy, preload adjustable 41mm telescopic forks and twin rear shocks provide superb suspension and compliance. A fully floating 320mm front disc and twin-piston brake caliper contribute powerful, sensitive, braking performance._ Triumph Motorcycles Ltd. was not a sponsor of the contest.
