Offering improved RF capabilities and operation, the RF10, RF20 and RF30 are simple to program with the supplied DVD Guide

CES 2006 — Las Vegas, NV, Jan. 5, 2006 — Universal Remote Control, Inc., the leader in remote control design and manufacturing for home and professional entertainment systems, unveiled the MasterControl, a series of affordable IR/RF remote controls during CES. The series consists of three models, the RF10, RF20 and RF30 remote controllers, along with the PowerBlaster MRF-100 RF Base Station. The MasterControl IR/RF remotes were specifically designed to bring custom integration into the consumer priced retail market.

Each MasterControl IR/RF remotes features ‘Barrier- Free’ RF control. No more pointing the remote directly at components because line of sight is not required, when using the option PowerBlaster. The multidirectional RF (radio frequency) signal is sent directly through walls, doors, floors and entertainment centers. With the PowerBlaster MRF-100, any one of the MasterControl models can control components that are completely out-of-sight up to 100 feet away, whether indoors or outdoors.

The new MasterControl IR/RF remotes comes packed with a step-by-step DVD Guide for fast and flawless programming, featuring animations and simple to follow instructions. No PC or technical background is required in the setup and operation of these remotes. Enjoy the video, follow the instructions and the coffee table clutter will disappear forever.

All three MasterControl IR/RF remotes feature two new Universal Remote Control functions– MacroPower and SimpleSound. MacroPower turns several A/V components on or off, switches sources and inputs with only the single press of a button using macro keys. SimpleSound affords users total and convenient ‘one-touch’ control over the volume functions on all of their components, including components that do not have built-in volume control, such as TiVo, DVD players or VCRs.

Each remote is loaded with thousands of preprogrammed codes that is guaranteed to work with all your A/V components including televisions, projectors, satellite receivers, cable boxes, DVD players and recorders, audio receivers, lighting controls, media center PCs, iPods, Xbox’s and XM Radio. Additionally, the learning capability of these remotes makes it possible to replace all existing remotes and always keep the MasterControl remote up to date.
