TV One announce the release of Two new audio products that can work in conjunction with the C2-7310 Dual Channel HD Video and Audio Processor from TV One, or can be used with each other to provide AES and AES3-id audio conversion at a superior standard that is to be expected from TV One products.
The C2-7310 processor provides accommodation for AES3-id audio, 8 in and 8 out, from each of the two HD-44 connectors located on its rear panel. Using its integral audio processor, it can delay, mix and sample rate convert these audio channels, as well as possessing the ability to embed and de-embed to and from HD/SD-SDI Video signals. In order fully utilize the audio on the HD-44 connections TV One has produced the A2-7312, an AES3-id Audio Breakout unit and the A2-7302, an AES to AES3-id Audio Format Converter.
The A2-7312 connects to the C2-7310 using a 1.5 metre HD-44 interconnect cable and provides access for 8 inputs and 8 outputs of AES3-id Audio and also a DARS reference input all via BNC connectors. These BNC connectors are all mounted on a 1RU panel for easy installation into a standard 19 inch rack, however they can be removed from this panel if the user’s system wiring requires it.
The A2-7302 unit also connects to the C2-7310 using the HD-44 interface and provides access for 8 inputs and 8 outputs of AES audio. Up to 8 AES audio channels can be fed into the A2-7302 via XLR inputs and are converted to AES3-id audio before being output to the C2-7310. Similarly, up to 8 channels of AES3-id audio being fed into the unit from the C2-7310 are converted to AES audio and can be output using a further 8 XLR connectors located on the rear panel. The A2-7302 is housed in a 1RU, 19 inch metal casing for installation into a standard 19 inch rack cabinet and also provides a DARS input via a BNC connector.
If it is simple AES to AES3-id audio conversion that is needed, then the two units can simply be connected to each other using the HD-44 interface rather than to a C2-7310. These combined units can convert 8 channels of AES audio to AES3-id and 8 channels of AES3-id audio to AES.
Both the A2-7312 Audio Breakout Unit and the A2-7302 Audio Format Converter are now available to order from TV One and have a recommended retail price of £337 (€496) and £899 (€1322) respectively.
