Teer Engineering Trusts Tripp Lite to Protect High-Tech A/V System In Alamonte, Florida’s Cranes Roost Park

Teer Engineering, the Orlando-based firm that installed the system, selected Tripp Lite’s HTR15-2U Pure Sine Wave A/V UPS System to provide essential power protection and backup.
Cranes Roost Park is a rejuvenated multi-use, high-tech greenspace that includes a 900-seat amphitheater and a 100′ x 60′ floating stage on a 37-acre lake. The system installed by Teer Engineering employs BSS Audio Soundweb London, Crown CTS Series amplifiers, and JBL Professional Control Series speakers. In all, the system deploys 190 speakers in 30 music zones throughout the park.
Given the ever-present potential for weather-related power problems in Florida–including catastrophic lightning strikes–it was essential to integrate power protection into the Cranes Roost Park system. “The scope and sophistication of this installation demanded reliable, state-of-the-art power protection, as well as the ability for remote diagnostics and the monitoring of humidity and temperature within the system enclosures,” said Teer Engineering President John Teer. “We found that Tripp Lite’s 1500VA Pure Sine Wave UPS with an internal SNMP/web card and an environmental sensor module represented the best overall power protection solution for the Cranes Roost Park system.”
