Tripp Lite’s New Easy-Pull Cables Reduce the Complexity and Cost of Custom Video Installations

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Chicago, IL (February 18, 2008)–Tripp Lite, a world-leading manufacturer of power protection and connectivity products, has introduced a new line of cables for custom video installations. Easy-Pull Cables are designed to make it easier and safer for installers to accomplish long cable runs while maintaining compliance with stringent building codes.

Easy-Pull Cables feature molded, detachable connectors and threaded end caps with integrated pull tabs. Because bulky connectors are added on after the cable is run, Easy-Pull cables can be installed through conduit and drop ceilings where conventional cables with permanently attached connectors won’t fit. The pull tabs tolerate up to 30 lbs. of pull force, while the end caps protect cable connectors from dirt and grime during pull-through. Easy-Pull Cables can be used for long cable runs in a wide range of applications, including home/business theaters, school and corporate training facilities and retail video signage.

“Easy-Pull Cables are designed specifically to meet the demanding requirements of professional-grade video installations,” said Tripp Lite Cables and Connectivity Product Manager David Posner. “Because the connectors are detachable, the cables can be pulled through conduit as small as three-quarters of an inch in diameter. By using Easy-Pull in place of conventional video cables, installers can save time and money on every job that requires long cable runs.”

Easy-Pull Cables are stocked in multiple lengths up to 100 feet for both analog (VGA) and digital (DVI/HDMI) applications. Custom cable lengths and plenum-rated cables are available. Extender and wall plate accessories are also available to permit DVI and HDMI cable runs of up to 150 feet. All cables, connectors and accessories are manufactured to the highest quality standards, assuring superior video performance in the completed installation. Cables and connectors are offered separately and as all-in-one-kits.
