Triad DSi Series In-Wall Speakers

Triad Speakers just added three new entry-level models ($500 to $700) to its DesignerSeries line of invisible behind-the-wall loudspeakers: the DSi-1, the DSi-2dc dual-channel stereo version and the higher-performing DSi-3. DesignerSeries is a comprehensive line (11 models in total) of high-performing, vibrating-panel sound systems that mount behind-the-wall, making them invisible to the eye.

The DesignerSeries are passive speaker panels comprised of a powder-coated aluminum frame, a rigid aluminum honeycomb core (with paper skin covering) and transducers. All the components — along with the use of a required high-pass cross-over filter (sold separately) — work in concert to create a vibrating element that produces sound waves. The result is a full, warm sound.

All DesignerSeries panels easily mount in between walls studs in typical home construction. The panel’s paper skin provides a high-bond surface for adhesion to plaster, drywall compound, mud skims and veneer. Once covered and painted the panels are invisible to the eye.

According to Triad Speakers’ Marketing Director Paul Teixeira, the 3 new DSi models boast a small footprint (measure 15.75-inches H x 11.8-inches W x 1.6-inches D), thus allowing for even greater installation flexibility.

“Our ability to hit lower price-points on such sophisticated technology gives the Triad dealer more options to place music throughout the house,” says Teixeira.

The DSi-1 ($500 MSRP each), DSi-2dc ($700 MSRP each) and DSi-3 ($700 MSRP each) in-wall speakers are all shipping now, and each carry a 10-year limited warranty.
