TrekStor GmbH Teams With Singer/Songwriter Pink To Offer New MP3 Player

Slim Player Pre-Loaded with Images Viewable on Integrated Color Display; Custom Engraving of the Pop Singer’s Signature

EAST ROCKAWAY, New York — March 12, 2007 — TrekStor GmbH, Germany’s top-selling maker of MP3 players, external hard disks and miniature USB sticks, has teamed with singer/songwriter Pink to offer an exclusive MP3 player named for the performer, engraved with her signature, and preloaded with photos. The TrekStor i.Beat p!nk, a stylish, video capable MP3 player, is slim at just over ¼-inch thick, or about the width of a pencil. With an integrated color LCD display, the it not only plays music, but also stores photos and offers video playback as well. Packed with features, p!nk Incorporates a built-in FM tuner, ID3 tag display, SRS WOW surround sound effects and a voice recorder with built-in microphone. Based on flash memory storage, the player is available in two sizes, 1GB and 2GB, with the two-gigabyte holding about 40 albums (500 songs), or around 10 hours of continuous listening. The i.Beat p!nk is slated to ship in mid April.

The front of the i.Beat p!nk is designed with a touch pad control and illuminated sensor keys, while the back is covered in a glossy silver aluminum. In addition to conventional MP3, WMA and WAV files, the new p!nk player also supports WMA-DRM (Digital Rights Management) 9 format, often needed for playing songs purchased over the Web. As a movie player, video playback is in the SMV format, and can be used to store photos as well. Audio is played back through the included high quality Sennheiser earphones. It can also record WAV files directly from the built-in radio.

The super-slim player, measuring 1.5″ wide x 3.14″ tall x 0.35″ thick, weighs just over one ounce (including rechargeable battery). The lithium polymer battery playback is rated at 12 hours, and can be recharged via a USB interface.
The i.Beat p!nk is available in two color schemes: pink and silver with white LEDs, and black and silver with pink LEDs. A USB 2.0 cable and Magix MP3 Maker SE software are also included.
