THIEL Loudspeakers Names VP, North American Sales

March 3rd, 2008 (Lexington, KY) — U.S. loudspeaker company THIEL Audio (www.thielaudio.com), has announced the promotion of Ken Dawkins to Vice President, North American Sales. Dawkins has served as Director of Sales for over seven years prior to the recent promotion.

THIEL had been handling sales administration solely through Dawkins and its own internal infrastructure. Based upon the recent addition of a distributor in Canada along with the appointment of THIEL’s first-ever independent sales rep firm to cover the Ohio/West Virginia/Pennsylvania region, Dawkins saw his responsibilities shift to include managing these new endeavors. “With new reps and distributors coming on board, I will focus on working with key contacts inside these organizations in areas such as sales, marketing, and logistics,” Dawkins explained. “This new and evolving structure will allow me to maximize my effectiveness when I am out in the field visiting dealers as well as new prospects,” he added.

“Throughout the years that Ken has been with THIEL, his responsibilities have increased tremendously as he has lead the charge seeking out new opportunities in our ever-changing industry,” commented THIEL president Kathy Gornik. “Ken has done an exceptional job facing these challenges head on and has genuinely earned this promotion to Vice President. There are great things in store for THIEL, and Ken is well qualified to execute our strategy going forward,” Gornik concluded.

THIEL has actively pursued new channels of distribution such as Internet and catalog seller Crutchfield, and Dawkins anticipates that initiative will continue. “Our marketplace is changing at a frantic pace and there are new and exciting outlets serving consumers of premium goods,” said Dawkins. “Additionally, the response to our revolutionary THIELnet whole-house audio system was overwhelmingly positive at CES 2008, including a broad range of exciting distribution opportunities that must be explored,” he concluded.
