Summer Sound-Off: Alpine Electronics Announces New Consumer Promotion

“Get HAMR’D” Campaign Introduces Four Amplifier + Subwoofer Packages for Solid Sound Performance

TORRANCE, Calif., June 22, 2005 — Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. today announced packaged amplifier and subwoofer solutions that maximize Alpine’s impressive HAMR (High Amplitude Multi Roll) subwoofer technology. The “Get HAMR’D” summer promotion, featuring four different amplifier and subwoofer packages at various price points, will launch at authorized Alpine dealers in the U.S. on July 1 and continue through September 30.

Whether looking for an entry-level system or a ground-pounding sonic experience, every enthusiast will appreciate the powerful sound found in these performance-matched packages. All “Get HAMR’D” packages feature subwoofers with Alpine’s HAMR Engineering for ground-shaking SPL, cooler operation, longer equipment life and tight, accurate bass. Depending on the system chosen, exclusive HAMR engineering features such as a Kevlar reinforced cone, multi-stage voice coil cooling system, High Amplitude Multi Roll Surround, and a FEA optimized compound radius curved motor structure all combine to create subwoofers with superb sound quality and durability. Matched with appropriate amplifiers that have outstanding watt-per-dollar performance, the “Get HAMR’D” systems offer dramatic sound quality at a great value.

“The ‘Get HAMR’D’ systems match Alpine’s advanced amplifier technology to appropriate subwoofers to create systems that deliver awesome base for any budget or system need,” said Stephen Witt, vice president, Brand Marketing, Alpine Electronics. “Each of the four solutions have been carefully matched to present the best possible performance for its price, from the powerful Type-E system at $199 to the thundering $999 Type-X system.”
