Sonoro Audio introduced a compact desktop speaker system that combines chic design with universal charging for smartphones, tablets, and mobile music devices. Its color-coded top cover holds your device neatly in place and conceals all of the cables. Audio is supplied from any mobile music device via the auxiliary input using the provided stereo 3.5mm cable. Carefully developed Digital Signal Processing (DSP) combined with a bass reflex port gives troy a powerful yet refined audio quality that belies its compact size.
Audio
Troy’s universal-input design allows for the connection of practically any music player. Two stereo 3.5mm sockets (one on the bottom and one under the top cover) cater for two sources to be connected at the same time, with a selector switch allowing the user to select which input they listen to. The 3-inch front-mounted speaker drive unit ensures a controlled and tight bass response thanks to the down-firing bass reflex port whilst the integrated Digital Signal Processor (DSP) ensures optimal performance. Volume and power on/off is controlled by the side mounted rotary control.
Universal Charger
Troy is a universal charging station with two USB ports located in the secret compartment under the removable top cover. Two devices, such as a smartphone, tablet PC, camera etc., can be connected simultaneously, with one port supplying a 1 amp current for smaller devices and the other offering 2.1 amps for power-hungry devices such as tablet PCs. troy’s on/off control also switches the USB sockets on/off to reduce unnecessary power consumption.
Build and Application
Troy’s speaker cabinet is made of wood, which is the ideal material for high-quality audio performance. Rounded corners stiffen the cabinet, reducing internal resonance, and the high-quality plastic top and bottom add strength but not weight. Concealing the top storage compartment, a felt-covered panel features an angled holder on one side to hold tablet PCs at the ideal viewing angle, so that troy can be used in office environments as a tablet PC monitor stand. The top storage compartment completes the design and is ideal for hiding away cable clutter.
