Solid State Logic Announces Duende V3 and Launch of New X-Verb Plug-In at Messe 2009

New Hybrid Core Processing Engine Takes Duende to V3, New X-Verb Sets Higher Standards for Plug-in Reverb

FRANKFURT, GERMANY–Solid State Logic, the world’s leading manufacturer of professional digital and analogue consoles, proudly announced the release of Duende V3 and new X-Verb plug-in at Musikmesse 2009.

With the release of Duende Studio Packs, SSL brought the Duende Plug-in collection to a new level of affordability. Duende V3 doubles the power of the Duende platform with the introduction of the new Hybrid Core Processing engine, which combines all of the advantages of dedicated DSP with the use of a computer’s CPU processing power. V3 enables users to upgrade Duende Mini to 64 channels and Duende PCIe to 128 channels. Hybrid Core Processing is one of the very first professional audio engines to make full use of the latest generation of Intel processors to deliver incredible stability and performance. Duende V3 requires Intel Core 2 (or equivalent power processor for PC owners) or Intel Mac based (for Mac owners) computers to run. Customers with computers utilizing older, or lower powered, processors will not be able to run Duende V3 software or the new generation of SSL plug-ins. Duende V3 is a free software download (including X-Verb demo), but channel upgrades will be sold exclusively via the Solid State Logic web store.

V3 64 channel upgrade: $119
V3 128 channel upgrade: $229

The power of Duende V3 enabled SSL to present X-Verb, the first of a new breed of extremely sophisticated ‘four slot’ SSL plug-ins.

The sheer sonic might of X-Verb is wrapped in a stunning GUI that provides comprehensive edit ability. The new ‘Morph’ feature allows MIDI Controllable cross fading from one Reverb Preset to another.

Key Features:

• 4 Core Algorithms create a complete collection of processors
• Quick Controls Panel to easily alter the 200 superb Presets
• Stunning Graphical User Interface to access detailed parameter set
