Award-winning line grows with introduction of affordable, feature-packed home theater projectors

Sharp continues to bring home theater to the masses with its next generation of portable Digital Light Processing (DLP) front projectors, the SharpVision XV-Z3100 and the Sharp DT-510. With superior brightness levels and contrast ratios in an affordable package, these sleek, lightweight, high-definition products will bring the benefits of home theater front projection products to more consumers.

“At Sharp, we pride ourselves on the ability to deliver top-quality home theater products to all consumers, whatever their entertainment needs,” said Bruce Tripido, senior director and group leader, Entertainment Products Division, Sharp. “Consumers who are new to the projection market can have entry-level high-definition home theater options that look terrific and perform just as well as higher-end, dedicated systems, but don’t take up space when not in use.”

Both projectors feature the 0.62″ DMD 1280 x 720 chip from Texas Instruments, which incorporates BrilliantColor™ Technology and TrueVision™ Image Processing, for truer image quality with high brightness and vibrant color. For easier installations these models also include a High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) to transfer high-definition video from a set-top box to the projector with a single digital cable.

SharpVision XV-Z3100:
The XV-Z3100 is a portable DLP front projector with 720p high-definition resolution, for a home entertainment solution that doesn’t require a ceiling mount. This widescreen projector instantly transforms any room into a high-tech home theater, allowing consumers without a dedicated media room to watch TV or DVDs, or play computer games on a big screen.

With a stellar resolution of 1280 x 720, the XV-Z3100 boasts an amazing 6500:1 contrast ratio and a brightness rating of 1000 ANSI lumens, offering consumers the ultimate home theater experience. A 6 Segment 5 X Speed color wheel provides accurate color reproduction for clear, realistic images. Additionally, a dual iris system adjusts image brightness to show full detail and enhances contrast to compensate for varied lighting environments. The XV-Z3100 is housed in a sleek, high-gloss black casing, for tasteful inclusion anywhere in a room. It also includes a 12-volt Screen Trigger that allows users to power screens through the projector, making installation a breeze.
