Seymour AV Launches New Ice Block Amplifiers

Ames, IA — Seymour AV is now shipping the Ice Block audio power amplifiers. These ICEpower-based 200w, 500w, and 1000w monoblock amps offer greater than 80 percent output power efficiency, upgraded components and premium finishing at aggressive price points. The Ice Block amps feature switchable balanced and unbalanced inputs and balanced outputs via insulated 5-way binding posts. An important design goal was to require indirect power and clipping illumination so that there would be no direct LED lighting in dark rooms. Upgraded components also include solid silver input wire, WBT connectors, triple shielded power cords with integrated ferrite RF filters, and Vibrapod feet.

Top plate finish options include premium brushed stainless steel with 386 Nanotech sealing, or a black pearl blue painted finish. This five-coat glossy black automotive clear coat painted finish features subtle blue pearl particles. It’s a glass-smooth, automotive enamel and deeply black with the blue pearl only visible under direct lighting.

Inside, the Ice Block amps feature integrated Zobel filters to power through any impedance curve and also feature RF/EMI filtration. All three versions are the same half-standard width size, yielding up to 1100w peak in a 12 pound box. The amps are protected via thermal, high frequency, and over current protection, undergo a 100 hour burn-in prior to shipping and come standard with a 10 year warranty. Triode intimacy and solid-state dynamics combine in an [I]ntelligent, [C]ompact, and [E]fficient package.
