Samsung Galaxy Tab E for Families

Samsung Galaxy Tab E tablet

The new Samsung Galaxy Tab E (8-inch) Android Tablet is now available from Verizon and is designed for families on-the-go. This low-end, $250 tablet features Multi-User Mode that enables separate logins, allowing each user to save settings and keep information private.

When you lend your tablet to a friend or family member, it often comes back with different background screens, altered settings and new or missing apps. With the Galaxy Tab E unique user accounts option, that’s no longer an issue. Everyone who plays or works on the tablet can create an individual account with their favorite applications, tools, settings and content.

For parents, that also means you can restrict the applications your kids can access or download. With the Samsung Galaxy Tab E everyone can watch their shows on go90 and the kids can enjoy thousands of parent-approved games available on the Google Play store. If you use the Samsung Kid’s Mode available in Galaxy Essential widget, you’ll have total control over your child’s tablet experience, including age-appropriate content and games.

The Galaxy Tab E includes Ultra power saving mode that makes your battery last longer for when you need it the most. The feature turns the screen black and white and shuts down all unnecessary features to save battery life. Other key features include:

  • 8″ WXGA 1280×800 resolution screen
  • 16GB of memory (add up to 128GB with a microSD card)
  • 5-megapixel rear camera and 2 megapixel front camera
  • 1.3GHz Quad Core processor with Android Lollipop
  • 5000 mAH battery for up to 21 hours of use
  • Multi-window support (run two apps at the same time)
  • KNOX defense grade security

Pricing and Availability
The new Samsung Galaxy Tab E tablet is available today for $249.99 at Verizon or $10.41 per month for 24 months with Verizon device payment (0% APR; full price $249.99). The tablet is also available for $149.99 with a new, two-year activation. You can add a tablet to your existing Verizon plan for an additional $10 per month (plus taxes and fees). The Verizon plan is available in five sizes, from size S with 1GB for $30/month to XXL with 18GB for $100/month, plus taxes and fees, and allows you to share data across up to 10 devices.
