Runco International Gives One Lucky Installer a 1966 Ford Mustang

Union City, CA — November 20, 2006 — At the annual Runco party at CEDIA EXPO 2006, Runco International gave away a 1966 Ford Mustang to Brandon Schroeder an installation technician from Automation Arts of Middleton, WI, who was selected from the more than 1000 ballots entered in Runco’s Classic Car Giveaway promotion.

“At Runco, we strive to build exciting, enticing promotions to involve our dealers and sales teams at every level,” stated Sam Runco, founder and CEO of Runco International. “This contest was designed specifically to reward the installers who are often behind the scenes working with customers every day to make sure their products and systems work flawlessly. Their jobs are challenging and they don’t often have the opportunity to participate in promotions which is why we wanted to recognize the Runco installers who have been through Runco training by holding a contest just for them. Like the heritage of the 1966 Mustang, Runco represents class and performance, with a style all our own.”

Launched at the beginning of 2006, this unique sales contest accepted over 1000 eligible ballots until August 30, 2006. Every Runco dealer was allowed to participate in the 8-month contest, and their installers, if they have completed Runco’s intensive training university, were allowed to enter the drawing every time a product was sold in each of three categories: Runco Plasma, Runco LCD Display, and Runco Projector. The more they installed, the more times their name was entered in the drawing.

“This is amazing!” shouted new Mustang Owner Brandon Schroeder. “As a behind-the-scenes installer it is rare to get to participate in a sales contest, never mind having the opportunity to win such a substantial prize.” Brad Thiess, owner of Automation Arts added, “Not many companies think about the guys running the wires and hauling the gear, it’s the whole team that makes an installation successful, from the salesman to the installer, working together is what makes the process seamless and successful for the customer. It was fantastic that Runco included the installers in this promotion.”
