Runco has announced the addition of two new flat panel outdoor LCD displays to its Climate Portfolio™ weatherproof series: the 42-inch CP-42HD and 52-inch CP-52HD. Both HD displays offer legendary Runco video performance housed inside a sleek, weatherproof cabinet that is finished with the same clean, elegant look and style that distinguishes all Runco flat panels, with optional Runco ColourPalette™ custom finish options. Installation possibilities are only limited by the imagination as the Climate Portfolio series makes a great addition to any outdoor space, enhancing the outdoor living room, outdoor kitchen, backyard pool, tennis court or other outdoor living space.
Runco’s Climate Portfolio CP-42HD and CP-52HD are full-high-definition widescre en flat panel displays that utilize Runco’s advanced LCD technology in an enclosure designed to withstand the elements. The 42- and 52-inch displays have native 1080p resolution and integrate reflection-rejection glass for easy viewing outdoors. Offering exceptional video quality, features, flexibility and connectivity to achieve the ultimate custom outdoor viewing experience, both flat panel displays feature an amazing 176-degree viewing angle, making it easy for a large number of viewers with widely dispersed seating positions to enjoy the display in an outdoor living space.

Runco’s Climate Portfolio CP-42HD and CP-52HD offer integrators the same industry-leading technology that is has made Runco the pinnacle brand for high-end custom video displays. Both flat panel displays include Runco’s exclusive Vivix™ internal video processing for outstanding imagery. Custom installation capabilities include an RS-232 automation interface with discrete on/off input, input selection and aspect ratio control. Also, a wide variety of inputs, including two HDMI inputs a nd a range of video inputs for digital cable and satellite television, Blu-Ray and DVD, gaming, internet surfing and other computer activities, make it easy to simultaneously connect to every video source.
In addition to Runco’s superior video quality, the CP-42HD and CP-52HD offer a refined enclosure that has been engineered for maximum durability. The new Climate Portfolio models have been engineered to ensure protection from adverse environmental conditions including temperature, exposure to moisture, dust, oils, and even intermittent direct water spray. The Runco CP-42HD and CP-52HD surpassInternational Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) Ingress Protection IP56 weatherproof standards. The custom aluminum cabinet is sealed to ensure protection from the elements and features a specially designed internal ventilation system to provide adequate cooling. To ensure year-round performance in even the most extreme conditions, Runco has engineered an internal setting that allows operation in colder temperatures (down to 0°C). Runco’s unique ThermoCare™ internal thermostat activates a cooling system regardless of whether the TV is on or off, to protect the display in hot temperatures.
Expanding on its architecture and designer initiative to offer c ustom video solutions, the Runco CP-42HD and CP-52HD are available with Runco’s ColourPalette™ options in a satin finish rated for outdoor use. The Runco ColourPalette offers 13 distinctive colors, as well as a color-matching program that allows home owners or their designers to custom match any color sample.
The Climate Portfolio CP-42HD and CP-52HD will be available in July with an MSRP of $6,495 and $13,995, respectively.
