RTI Now Offering Dealers Online Training Videos for Remote Programming Software

CHANHASSEN, MN — November 30, 2004 — Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI), the leading producer of home system control technology, has taken a new step toward simplifying the design and implementation of its whole-house wireless control systems. The company has made available to its dealers an online training course on its website, www.rticorp.com. The course consists of five video seminars that address each aspect of using RTI’s TheaterTouch Designer 2.0 software to program an RTI control system. In offering the online video seminars, RTI aims to give dealers all the necessary support for quickly and effectively designing a complete control system with RTI’s products.

“Dealers like using our TheaterTouch Designer 2.0 software for its intuitive interface and because it helps repeat efficiency on each job,” said Pete Baker, director of sales and marketing for RTI. “We added downloadable seminars to our website to give installers a thorough, step-by-step video instruction manual that they can reference for the programming details on any job. The videos cover everything installers need when using TheaterTouch, from creating pages and adding bitmaps, to learning new infrared codes, to sophisticated macro options. All aspects of programming are covered. It’s all accessible with a few clicks, whether you are an advanced RTI programmer, or setting up your first system.”

The online TheaterTouch Designer training course uses five video segments to demonstrate how to create and customize an RTI control system for any installation. The five parts cover how to establish a new system in the software, customizing main remote features, adding and managing IR codes, creating macros and incorporating RTI’s video-and signal-sensing modules, and finally downloading the settings to remotes for application. RTI dealers can access the training course through a password-protected area of the RTI website.
