RICHARD GRAY’S POWER COMPANY INSTITUTES DEALER POLICY TO PROTECT CUSTOMERS FROM UNAUTHORIZED INTERNET SALES

December 7, 2006 — New Orleans, LA — Richard Gray’s Power Company has long been known as the premier manufacturer of power management products for custom installers and integrators. While protecting AV gear has always been their forte, RGPC is making a move to protect both dealers and customers from unauthorized re-sellers who vend products without warranties and with no guarantee they will function properly.
Richard Gray’s Power Company Dealer Policy: In order to insure highest customer satisfaction, new RGPC products may only be purchased from Authorized RGPC Dealers. Purchases via unauthorized dealers and internet auction sites are presumed to be used and are not covered by any RGPC Warranty. Richard Gray’s Power Company does not warrant, in any way, products that are purchased from anyone who is not an Authorized Dealer or products that have had their serial number altered or defaced.

David Wasserman, Owner of the Stereo Exchange in New York City said, “It’s important for manufacturers to protect their dealers from unauthorized auction and internet sites that sell the same product lines with no warranties and no expert instruction. RGPC has effectively committed time and resources to educate dealers and consumers on the pitfalls of buying from these rogue sites in an effort to ensure their products are being installed properly and in full working order.”

RGPC’s Vice President of Operations, Rick Komendera on the new policy, “It’s hurts both customers and authorized dealers when online auction sites and illegitimate web-based dealers sell Richard Gray products without having learned about the technology or gone through the certification process. Consumers are purchasing products with no warranty and no guarantee that they will even work. Since fine tuning and installation of Richard Gray products can have a significant effect on performance, customers are also losing out on the expertise an authorized dealer can provide.”

RGPC products are proudly manufactured in the U.S.A. and are sold solely through their network of professional audio/video dealers and installers.
