ReQuest Unveils Powerful Online Tools for Dealers & Custom Integrators

Ballston Spa, New York–March 25, 2006–ReQuest, the developer and manufacturer of the leading music-server and video-management hardware and software solutions for home entertainment and media systems, has announced two powerful new on-line tools for its professional dealers and installers. The first, the introduction of ARQLink Pro, gives ReQuest dealer/installers direct access to their customers’ systems for programming, service, or troubleshooting, from around the corner or around the world. The second, a new Web-portal exclusive to ReQuest dealers/installers, gives authorized partners complete, 24/7 access to a rich knowledgebase of Audio- and VideoReQuest technical know-how, along with a direct connect to ReQuest’s sales and service departments.

ARQLink Pro is an enrichment of the original, customer-targeted ARQLink, and as such includes all the features of the original: full access to the customer’s AudioReQuest hardware and software (and other on-network hardware) for programming, networking, configuration, and more. To this, ARQLink Pro adds a rich array of dealer/installer-only functions intended for operational enhancement, troubleshooting, network debugging, and more. These include access to a customers AudioReQuest and VideoReQuest accounts and its full array of network and “NetSync” settings, disk-drive usage, condition, and statistics plus the components internal temperature, power-supply voltages, firmware and hardware versions, disk-drive-health, capacity, and free-space, and more.

ARQLink Pro gives dealer/installers the power to correct, configure, update, backup, and even operate customer systems, further enhancing value to the end-user. ARQLink Pro is a platform-independent, Web-based, Flash-enabled application that can be run from any PC, Mac, or other suitable computing platform.

“In essence, ARQLink Pro gives ReQuest dealers and installers the ability to make a ‘virtual service call’ on a customer’s system, without leaving the shop–or even a hotel room a continent away,” says company co-founder Steve Vasquez. “We expect this to prove a real boon to our end-use customers, while providing our dealer/installers with an important new tool and potential revenue stream.”

Next up is ReQuest’s new dealer/installer Web-portal, which gives hard-working pros valuable new timesaving access to the company’s resources. An extensive, searchable knowledgebase of hundreds of AudioReQuest and VideoReQuest hardware and software solutions promises dramatic time savings, quickly and easily putting proven solutions in-hand via easy and intuitive “case-based” entry and tracking. Additional important features which will be added soon include direct integration of ReQuest’s order-status, customer-profile, and RMA information-management systems.

ReQuest’s ARQLink Pro and Web-portal are available now to authorized dealers and installers, direct from ReQuest, is live on-line now, and available at no charge to every authorized ReQuest dealer/installer.
