Get More Power: Alpine Offers Big Bass At A Small Price

New Summer Promotion Pairs Best-Selling Amplifier and Two Subwoofers for $299

TORRANCE, Calif., June 27, 2006 — School is out, the sun is shining and the car windows are down, making it the perfect time to “Get More Power.” Alpine Electronics today announced its “Get More Power” consumer promotion, which pairs the MRP-M450 V-Power mono amplifier with two 10-inch SWE-1042 Type-E subwoofers for ground-pounding, head-turning bass for only $299. The promotion will run from July through September at participating authorized Alpine dealers in the U.S. Additional system packages at promotional prices are available; consumers should visit their local authorized Alpine dealer for more information.

“The ‘Get More Power’ promotion makes it easy and very affordable to obtain big bass in the car,” said Stephen Witt, vice president, Marketing, Alpine Electronics. “This is the ideal solution for consumers who want to upgrade their sound systems with high-performing components at a popular price.”

The 400-watt MRP-M450 mono amplifier, part of the best-selling V-Power series, delivers high dollar per watt performance, clean and reliable power output, and an aggressive new cosmetic look. Rugged new heat sinks ensure lower temperature and optimum performance for non-stop output. Variable crossover and bass EQ functions provide flexible tuning possibilities for any vehicle. The SWE-1042 Type-E subwoofers deliver big output with Kevlar reinforced pulp cones, oversized parabolic dustcaps and Santoprene surrounds.

The campaign will launch with print ads in targeted mobile electronics and trade publications, as well as banner ads on enthusiast web sites. Dealer support will include in-store posters with matching demo board danglers and a CD ad kit with templates of pre-made ads, direct mail postcards, and promotional flyers to make it easy for retailers to synchronize their local marketing activities with the national promotion. The ad kit also includes all the logos, art files, and product photos needed for retailers to create customized collateral tailored for their own store. Dealers also will be informed about the promotion via the quarterly “Solutions” dealer newsletter. The promotion will be prominently displayed on the Alpine homepage
(www.alpine-usa.com) and announced in the “In Tune With Alpine” email newsletter sent to consumers in the Alpine database.
