New AT-Series Models Provide High-Quality Audio Options for Residential Spaces Large and Small, Including Home Theaters and Patios
PORTLAND, OR, Jan. 6, 2005 — Phoenix Gold, a division of Phoenix Gold International, Inc., introduces six versatile new speakers designed to meet a variety of home audio needs, including living rooms, bedrooms, dedicated Home Theaters, contained areas like bathrooms and hallways, and outdoor areas like porches and patios.
The new models include the Ati8 and Ati6 In-Wall Speakers; the ATc8 and ATc6 In-Ceiling Speakers, and ATc8DM Dual Mono In-Ceiling Speaker; and the ATo5 Indoor/Outdoor Speaker.
The speakers all share high-quality construction and a dedication to performance-enhancing details such as injection-molded Polypropylene woofers that are smoothly responsive. The drivers have a woven surface texture, Butyl surrounds, and diaphragms optimized for rigidity and to eliminate cone break-up. Computer-optimized motor assemblies further contribute to excellent performance.
The speakers’ compact tweeters — 19 or 25mm in diameter, depending on model — feature low-distortion silk fabric domes, Neodymium magnets, engineered suspension termination, and absorber damped rear chambers. Magnetic damping fluid placed in the gap disperses heat and mechanically controls the diaphragm assembly, while each speaker’s dome has been calculated to deliver a wide dispersion and minimize breakup.
The crossovers of each model are tailored to combine a specifically chosen driver set and system configuration. Using premium components in all critical filter areas, they provide smooth on- and off-axis listening windows, and smooth frequency transitions.
