The range of Pronto control panels offers extensive, complete control of any home system

See photos below

The Philips Pronto TSU Series of wireless touch panels consists of two wand style control panels (TSU9300 and TSU9400), optimal for home theater control, and two tablet style panels (TSU9600 and TSU9800), perfect for total home control. The line boasts the company’s PEP 2.4 (ProntoEdit Professional) for a dynamic two-way integration with the home’s subsystems as well as the high quality design expected from Pronto panels.

The series features Pronto’s cutting-edge design and flush mounted display which allows these control panels to fit in with any home design. The user interface on each remote is fully customizable to align with the end user’s preferences, and the flush mounted display means that the screen is not recessed, but instead flows smoothly with the casing.

The four remotes all feature wireless control, and the TSU9800 offers wired network connectivity.

For extended control, Pronto offers a range of extenders that extend the range of transmission of the remote control which enables the user to control equipment hidden in cabinets or in other rooms. The RFX9400 and RFX9600 feature four addressable IR ports that enable the control of the same type of devices in a rack independently (by the same extender). Depending on the situation, the extenders can be used wired via Ethernet or wirelessly using WiFi for a flexible installation. Pronto has added an additional patented smart protocol to guarantee a reliable and timely execution of IR codes and macros when using standard WiFi.

The RFX9600 includes input sensors to detect if equipment is powered on. Optional power, video or audio sensors will provide the necessary voltage input to determine if the equipment is on or off. The status of the input sensor can be used in conditional macros to ensure that the equipment is powered on or off when needed.

The RFX9600 also features four contact closures that the control panel can instruct to open or close. Contact closures are used typically to operate motorized equipment such as projector screens, plasma lifts, curtains, etc…, that do not have another control interface. As a result, four motorized devices can be controlled separately with the RFX 9600.

With Philips’ ProntoScript technology, integrators have endless integration possibilities throughout the home with the Pronto control panels, for diverse applications such as lighting control, HVAC control, multizone audio control, multimedia content browsing, security cameras and entertainment. Over 50 leading manufacturers have joined Philips Pronto as a partner, enabling easy-to-use 2-way control modules for 2-way IP- or RS232 controlled components. The collection of available 2-way modules include solutions for partners such as Aprilaire, HAI, Kaleidescape, Lutron, Panasonic, Russound, Vantage, Windows Media Center, and all major AV receiver brands including Denon, Marantz, Onkyo and Vudu. The ProntoScript modules are very easy to use by simply dragging it into a Pronto project using the ProntoEditProfessional software. All these modules are freely accessible from the Pronto website.

Installers can now use the ProntoEditProfessional 2.4 software to create an efficient customized solution. The new software cuts programming time and cost for dealers while dramatically improving the look and functionality of the Pronto control panel family. The new PEP 2.4 software features UPnP (Universal Plug and Play)/DNLA (Digital Network Living Alliance) compatibility. The UPnP/DNLA engine now incorporated into the Pronto platform accelerates the development of two-way integration modules between A/V servers, players and control devices, so providing a straightforward, single solution for controlling any product of manufacturers adhering to the UPnP standard. The UPnP discovery mechanism embedded within the software’s ProntoScript library will help the Pronto control panel automatically find IP devices on the network.
