Phase Technology Welcomes Tony Weber as Western Sales Manager

JACKSONVILLE, FL — November 9, 2004 — Phase Technology, the leading American manufacturer of home entertainment speakers and systems, is pleased to announce that Mr. Tony Weber has joined the company’s sales and marketing team. A 32-year veteran in the audio-video industry, Mr. Weber now takes the newly created position of western regional sales manager. Mr. Weber’s appointment marks the latest step in Phase Technology’s continuing strategic plan to reinforce service to dealers and installers, and to expand sales in existing and emerging markets.

“Tony’s background and professional approach makes a strong addition to our sales team,” stated Roberta Lewis, vice president of sales and marketing for Phase Technology. “He brings to our company experience in every segment of the audio and video industry. As a sales manager and manufacturer’s representative, Tony has generated impressive results for some of the industry’s most respected names. He has also spent many years designing and managing custom installation projects, as well as formulating and executing marketing strategies for electronics manufacturers. Each of us at Phase Technology is excited to have Tony’s creative input in product design and his proven leadership in further strengthening our sales network.”

Immediately prior to joining Phase Technology, Weber designed and managed systems installations for twelve years with custom audio/video dealers in Arizona and Virginia. Before that, he directed national marketing efforts at Bang & Olufsen, worked as a manufacturer’s sales representative in the Northeast, and was general manager for a three-location high-end audio/video systems installer in Utah. He has served on manufacturer’s representative and dealer councils for Bang & Olufsen, McIntosh, Infinity, and more and has instructed at CEDIA Expo and at ASID and IIDA regional conferences.

“After thirty years working in a number of segments of audio & video, I am proud to join Phase Technology,” said Weber. “In the home entertainment industry, quality isn’t a luxury but an absolute necessity, and each member of this team shares a commitment to bringing the absolute highest level of quality and service to Phase Technology’s customers. From the engineers to the sales and marketing department, I’ve seen the same spirit that has established this company’s respected fifty-year legacy. I’m excited to get involved with our dealers and representatives, and to build on Phase Tech’s traditions of award-winning innovation.

About Phase Technology

Phase Technology Corporation (toll-free at 888-PHASE TK; website at www.phasetech.com) is one of the few fully-vertically integrated American speaker manufacturers. The company started as United Speaker Systems in 1955 as an original equipment manufacturer and still designs and produces its own sub-assemblies in-house. Phase Technology’s speaker lines incorporate many proprietary innovations like the soft-dome tweeter, the industry’s standard invented by Bill Hecht, founder of Phase Technology. Other patents cover the self-damping woofer voice coil, the manufacturing process for flat-piston midrange drivers and woofers, silicone-injected drivers for resonance damping, and the positive-clamping mounting system for the premier in-wall Model CI-110/II. The company also developed the Unicell Zero-Diffraction treatment that reduces acoustic reflections off cabinet and grille surfaces. Phase Technology manufactures its wood cabinets by hand and performs quality control tests at every step of the fabrication process.

Building on five decades of design and engineering innovation in the manufacture of high quality, yet affordable speakers, Phase Technology supports its products with a 10-year warranty on speakers, while amplifiers are backed by a 3-year warranty. Phase Technology’s digital home theater, audiophile, outdoor, in-wall/in-ceiling custom installation speakers, as well as powered and in-wall subwoofers are constructed at the company’s Jacksonville, Florida facility.
