Onkyo introduced the iOnly Bass (SBX-300) speaker dock specially designed for iPad, but also works with iPod and iPhone. The iOnly Bass is equipped with 10.5cm woofers and 2 x 20w of Class D power, plus it uses bass management techniques derived from Onkyo’s home cinema products.
Weighing in at 3.5kg and topped with a solid aluminium handle this speaker system’s connectivity options gives it excellent flexibility. Apple portable product owners, for instance, can listen to their content via a Direct Digital connection, for top sound quality. A wide dust-proof slide-out dock — with a flexible connector — allows everything up to an iPad to be securely located. And there’s a free iPhone/iPad App that allows users to access the iOnly Bass’s Clock/Sleep/Alarm/Play Music functionality.
Built-in Bluetooth allows users to wirelessly stream audio from their portable device after a one-step set-up while a 3.5mm auxiliary input allows a virtually unlimited range of devices to be connected.
Price and Availability
The Onkyo iOnly Bass will be available October 2011 for $249. This model is also known as the SBX-200 in Europe.
