Novas SWS-10 in-wall goes below 20Hz; Now Thats In Your Face Bass!

NOVA (By: Earthquake Sound)

Bass in your face may seem a little hard to attain, since subwoofers are usually mounted on the floor behind a sofa or to the sides in a corner somewhere. But what if they weren’t, what if you were able to install 10″ subwoofer drivers on each side of the plasma TV, in the walls? No need to wait, you and your customers can now enjoy full-force bass with the SWS In-wall system, by Nova. This in-wall subwoofer system inegrates an Earthquake SWS-10″ shallow driver combined with the patented Earthquake SLAPS-10″ passive radiator for tight , clean and full of impact bass, all at the same time.

Earthquake was first to step into the shalllow woofer revolution: the SWS revolution provides the consumer with a speaker, with an xmax peak-topeak almost equal to its mounting depth with out lagging on performance. For those of you with math issues, we deliver 2 1/2″ deep 10″ subwoofer with over 2.5″ peak-to-peak excursion. Several Earthquake patented Technologies were implemented in designing the in-wall subwoofers: # 6,675,931 Low profile audio speaker /# 6,626,263 Passive speaker system / # 6,460,651 Passive speaker system / # 6,044,925 Passive speaker.

The SWS-10″ shallow woofer is packed with advanced features:- “UV” treated multi laminate composite foam surround. Pressed into a high-roll shape for ultra long excursions without taxing the cone area (more cone area = more spl)- Weather-resistant electroplated PVC cone, with platinum finish. Light aweigth, durable, and nondeforming under extreme excursions, allowing for high efficiency operation. – Grade “A” aluminum dust cap. This strong, light weight dust cap is directly attached to the voice coil. And it acts as a giant heat sink by deeping the voice coil running below normal operation temperature.

SWS In-wall subwoofer also comes with grill options, paintable metal mesh or cloth grill to blend perfectly with any decor. The cabinet is only 3.5″ in depth perfect for any in-wall application and is also a bass reflex system. Easy to install, this in-wall subwoofer system comes equipped with the Earthquake patented “TURN-N-LOCK” mechanism. It also can be fixed to the exisiting 2×4’s through a set of holes in the frame. Combined with the Image series in-walls you can install a complete home theater system with subwoofers front and rear surround. This whole application will be completely stealth with no obstruction, no wires, baby proof animal proof and no hassle.
