NetStreams Adds to Its Training & Technical Support Team

Austin, TX — December 20, 2004 — NetStreams, the leader in IP-based Networked Audio distribution, announced the hire of Michael Leonard as its new Training & Technical Support Manager. He brings to NetStreams experience in both computer network engineering and custom installation that complements the needs of NetStreams’ customer base.

“Michael Leonard brings to the NetStreams team a sophisticated understanding of Home Networking and advanced entertainment systems,” said Petro Shimonishi, vice president of marketing at NetStreams. “His knowledge of TCP/IP-based electronic architectures and his approach to project management match with our philosophy at NetStreams. NetStreams system installers across the country can count on Michael and our entire technical support team to provide the answers they need, no matter what the application or installation environment they’re working with.”

“It is exciting to be working with the technology that NetStreams is introducing to homeowners,” Leonard said. “The DigiLinX and Musica systems are truly unique in the capabilities they give users, and in how much of a pleasure they are to use. But beyond NetStreams’ focus on enriching the home entertainment experience, I admire the company’s above-and-beyond commitment to supporting each and every dealer. I’m very happy to be a part of this team, and look forward to building on the achievements this team has reached so far.”

As Training & Technical Support Manager, Michael Leonard will train NetStreams installers on the company’s Musica and DigiLinX product lines. He will also guide system designers through the specific challenges of custom applications, ensuring top performance and maximum value on each job. His experience with system maintenance and technical support is especially valuable following NetStreams’ introduction of the highly anticipated DigiLinX IP-based networked audio/video system.

Michael Leonard has years of technical support and PC networking experience, joining NetStreams after working at Dell, where he tested prototype hardware and network connectivity with a number of protocols including TCP/IP. Prior to that, he was a pre-sales system engineer with ICOM Informatics, where he provided customer and employee technical support as well as developed company marketing materials.
