Singapore, January 6th, 2005 — Sumitronics Asia Pte Ltd, unveils today its state of art innovative product at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, (booth 55001, Las Vegas Hilton).

The SP-103 MP3 Docking Station is the perfect accessory companion to any MP3 Player device. The SP-103 allows most MP3 Players to automatically record the latest Top-40 music hits directly from the FM radio without any talk or commercials. The songs recorded are encoded into individual MP3 music tracks.

“With the SP-103 product, users of portable MP3 Players now no longer need to depend on the PC or Internet for their main source of music,” said Tajima Toshimasa, Managing Director, Sumitronics Asia Pte Ltd. He added, “Time consuming connections to the Internet, searching and downloading music files are also no longer necessary.”

The process is fully automated, with just one touch of the button. Through the popular USB interface, the SP-103 allows easy transfer of MP3 music files to most MP3 Player devices supporting the USB Mass Storage standard.

“Users just need to plug in their MP3 Player, press the recording button and go to bed. Next morning, their MP3 Player will be filled with music,” said Miyamoto Tsunehiro, Chief Engineer, Sumitronics Asia Pte Ltd. The SP-103 is targeted at people who are interested in always getting the latest Top-40 music hits. An alarm clock function is also built into the SP-103 for use as a bedside clock radio.

Encased in a black wooden cabinet with a metal faceplate, stylish and elegant looking, it is suitable for urban young executives. The SP-103 will be retailing in Singapore from 15th January 2005 at S$499 (approximately US$299). For the USA and European markets, the SP-103 is planned to be available in shops by end Q1 2005.

Sumitronics is also ready to market the SP-103 as a module or as an OEM product to any reputable Audio manufacturer. Separate licensing arrangements are also available.
