Mitsubishi Announces Employee Holiday Pricing Now for Everyone on HD1000U Home Theater Projector

Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America’s Presentation Products Division, known for award-winning, high-quality presentation and display products, today announced that it will extend the employee holiday pricing of its HD1000U high-definition, 720p projector to the general public. This new price of $999 is the same that every Mitsubishi Electric employee pays to bring home and enjoy an HD home theater projector for the holiday season. Now consumers can enjoy the same high-definition experience of their favorite football game or holiday programming, new DVDs and home movies at Mitsubishi’s employee price, just in time for the holidays.

“We wanted everyone to share the true high-definition experience of an HD1000U, and we thought the best way to do that would be to give everyone employee pricing,” said James Chan, director, product marketing, Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America’s Presentation Products Division. “The projector has been receiving great reviews, and we want more people to be able to enjoy the high-def migration to their own homes, just like many of us do here at Mitsubishi.”

Introduced in the shadow of its widely successful and award-winning Mitsubishi HC3000U, the HD1000U projector is designed with the same DC2 chipset, Texas Instruments’ DDP3020, and a Digital Micromirror Device (DMD) chip to keep costs low. The projector includes Texas Instruments Digital Light Processing™ imaging technology with BrilliantColor™, which uses a color-processing algorithm and system-level enhancements for greater brightness and truer, more vibrant colors while increasing mid-tone color levels by more than 50 percent.

At 1500 ANSI lumens, the HD1000 doesn’t require a completely darkened environment; it blasts enough light for a great home theater experience, even in rooms with windows. Mitsubishi’s new HD1000U DLP projector has a seven-segment color wheel which provides rich and vivid colors without compromising its brightness.

With its HDMI connector, the HD1000U offers a true digital-to-digital high-definition experience for the highest level of detail in its video display. It also provides an AV memory, which allows users to pre-set their favorite color and video preferences.

“This is the first time Mitsubishi has offered employee pricing for a projector, and we’re excited to offer this ‘inside deal’ to everyone,” said Chan. “The high-quality performance of a high-def 720p projector coupled with the new low price of the HD1000U makes that possible for anyone in the market for a big display.”

Availability, Warranty
Mitsubishi’s new HD1000U is currently available through online and retail outlets and authorized Mitsubishi dealers. The projector comes with Mitsubishi’s one-year limited warranty on parts and labor plus a 90-day limited warranty on the lamp.
