Mark Levinson announces it has begun shipment of the No33H Monaural Power Amplifier. Designed to offer the highest performance possible and continue the rich heritage of the Mark Levinson line, the No33H offers a true balanced input topology, rejecting common mode noise and distortion into the loudspeaker’s voice coil. Output voltage is conservatively rated at 34.6V rms @ 8 Ohm and 4 Ohm loads continuously from 20 Hz to 20 kHz with less than 0.3% THD with a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz within 0.2 dB, equivalent to 150 Watts and 300 Watts respectively.
The No33H provides a separate, isolated power supply for each half of the inverting and non-inverting signal, utilizing four 60,000 µF low-ESR capacitors and a massive 3.47 kVA low-noise toroidal transformer. To further ensure the cleanest possible signal, the No33H has built-in mains regeneration. AC power is rectified into positive and negative DC supplies to power a pure 60 Hz sine wave generator whose output is rectified, filtered and regulated for all voltage gain stages. The No33H also has a built-in ‘Link’ feature that allows for compatible Mark Levinson preamplifiers and power amplifiers to share ‘Link’ control. Input and output communication ports can use Link or Link 2. A remote turn-on option is provided with 1/8″ input connector accepting 5-12V DC, which in turn feeds a second built-in 1/8″ output connector to remotely turn on other equipment, allowing for daisy-chain control.
