Design Approach
The focus of Musegg’s design philosophy is to accommodate human hearing characteristics. Hearing ability changes with age, and our habits and experiences shape our perception of sound. Therefore, everyone perceives music differently and has unique preferences. The environment in which we listen significantly affects the playback. This means that making the perfect speaker everyone is not possible. As a result, Musegg is built to adapt to individual preferences and room acoustics.

Musegg is built with sufficient power reserves across the entire frequency range, allowing for personalized sound characteristics as desired. It can reproduce even the lowest frequencies in large rooms.
Room Correction and Personalisation

The mobile application allows users to tune Musegg to nearly everyone’s unique preferences and environment. Three levels of tuning are available.
- Level 1 is a simple set of settings like EQ or loudness.
- Level 2 is a state-of-the-art digital room correction.
- Level 3 is a sound experience virtually guided by an acoustic engineer.
HoRooc Self-Fitting is aimed at users who like to experiment on their own. The system guides the user through the individual steps, with the user interface leading them through a few simple steps. The measurement data will be stored in the cloud, allowing users to create new setups afterward and find a perfect fit for themselves.
Not everyone wants to try everything on their own. Some users prefer to be advised and guided by a professional. For this purpose, we offer HoRooc Remote Fitting. This is the most comprehensive adjustment, but also the most time-consuming. The customer follows the same basic scheme as with Horooc Self-Fitting. The room is acoustically measured.
However, during all these steps, the customer is, via web meeting, accompanied by a sound engineer who evaluates the data in parallel.
During this process, the peculiarities of the room, such as modes and echo, are analyzed and explained to the user. The user also receives useful advice on seating position and room design. The user’s personal preferences are then clarified in a short interview, and a setup is created.
The user can activate this setup, which is also explained to them along with the available settings for further adaptation. In a follow-up session, the user reports their experiences and adaptation requests, and the sound engineer adapts the tuning accordingly.
Loutd’s experience so far indicates that they can find the perfect setting for almost every user in 2-to-3 sessions.
Sustainability & Value
While the world is talking about becoming more sustainable, Loutd developed a solution for value-retaining consumer electronics. The most sustainable product is one that retains its value for you. Through software and hardware updates, Musegg remains up-to-date not just for years, but its functionality is even expanded.
Initially, simple operation and limited bandwidth were the main drivers of development, leaving little room for discussions on the resolution of the tracks. Bandwidth is now hardly an issue, and the focus has shifted to integrating the device into personal infrastructure.

For hardware upgrades a solution was invented for the conflict that arose between the lifetime of electronics, electromechanics, and mechanical components, which seemed incompatible at first glance. The traditional approach to remote control has been transformed through the use of mobile devices. The control of interaction among multiple devices has also been added.
