NEW YORK, NY — December 17, 2007 — Logicworks, a leading provider of high-availability hosting solutions to support business-critical applications and content, today announced it has joined the VMware Service Provider Program (VSPP). Achieving greater levels of flexibility, scalability, and consolidation by leveraging VMware Infrastructure, Logicworks can help customers optimize their hosted IT environments.

“Hosting our blog network with Logicworks has always enabled us to focus on our core competencies, instead of having to build out and staff a data center,” said David Minkin, publisher of Dead Horse Media, LLC. “Adding VMware Infrastructure to our Logicworks hosted solution allows us to improve resource utilization, flexibility, uptime and availability while optimizing cash flow.”

According to IDC, the virtualization market is expected to grow to $15 billion by 2009. The market for virtualization is growing rapidly and through this relationship with VMware, Logicworks customers are positioned to take advantage of its benefits.

“The delivery of VMware Infrastructure on a hosted platform provides companies of all sizes the opportunity to take advantage of an optimized, top-tier infrastructure without the cost commitment,” said Carter Burden, CEO of Logicworks. “Logicworks believes that virtualizing infrastructure and applications is a key in architecting and managing a flexible and scalable data center. Through this VMware relationship, Logicworks strengthens its commitment to providing customers with virtualized managed services solutions.”

With this new program, Logicworks customers can experience high levels of consolidation, flexibility, availability and uptime. By virtualizing IT infrastructure through its managed services data center, Logicworks not only enables customers to eliminate the need for excessive servers but also provides a flexible environment which can be customized on an individual basis.

“VMware Infrastructure offers transformative IT benefits such as high availability, cost-effective disaster recovery and simplified management,” said Bogomil Balkansky, senior director, product marketing at VMware. “By participating in the VSPP to virtualize infrastructure and applications, Logicworks can bring these benefits to customers as a service they can consume as needed.”

Logicworks supports a broad range of clients in the media, entertainment, healthcare, financial services, digital content and publishing, advertising, high-tech, education, and communications markets.
