Leon Speakers CEDIA EXPO 2007 Product Preview

New Products on Display at CEDIA EXPO 2007:

Leon Seven
Showing for the first time at CEDIA 2007, the Leon Seven Series promises to take on-wall audio to the highest possible level. It provides an extreme high-fidelity audio experience, and exudes the sleek element of modern design unlike any other from an on-wall speaker. The Leon Seven utilizes extraordinarily high-end drivers, including two hand-made German Eton 7-inch patented HEXACONE long throw woofers and the Raven R2 True Ribbon tweeter (with all-aluminum diaphragm) from Orca. It boasts a 40-Hz to 50-kHz frequency response and a power rating of 250 W per channel. In the elite $15,000 to $20,000 price range, the Leon Seven is the first to offer the performance of a traditional tower speaker in a sleek on-wall cabinet milled from solid billet aluminum.

The Seven Series offers extremely detailed high frequencies and deep, powerful bass — the baffle itself is 1 1/4-inches thick and weighs over 75 lbs, providing extreme rigidity to eliminate unwanted resonance and vibrations. The speaker measures 11 inches by 38 inches by 6 inches, and the interior of the cabinet is lined and reinforced with solid MDF and other proprietary sound diffusion and diffraction apparatus.

The Leon Seven will be available Sept. 2007 at $17,000/pr MSRP for the limited edition solid aluminum cabinet. Standard pricing will be announced at a later date.

Horizon™ 616 Speaker Cabinet
Leon Speakers also will be showing its new Horizon™ 616, a three-channel speaker for large rooms and oversized flat-panel displays. Available in LCR, LR, and center-only configurations, the Horizon 616 provides high-fidelity, full-range, three-channel audio from one sleek, custom-built cabinet. Each speaker is specifically tailored to exactly match any flat panel display, up to 120 inches wide, making it the perfect complement for all plus-sized TVs and projection screens.

The Leon HZ616 is the most powerful three-channel speaker available today, utilizing four six-inch Peerless HDS woofers and Morel MDT-29 tweeters. This innovative new speaker provides a maximum power handling of 200 W per channel (260 W center channel) and a 55-Hz to 22-kHz range. With a height of nine inches, and only a four-inch depth, the cabinet features a solid 3/4-inch MDF construction custom-finished to your exact specifications.

The Horizon 616 is available now. Prices start at $3,495 MSRP for LCR configurations.
