Klipsch The Fives Powered Speakers (Grilles off in walnut)

Audiophile-grade Powered Speakers with HDMI-ARC

Klipsch has introduced its most advanced powered speakers called the The Fives to their Heritage Collection of wireless speakers. At $799/pair, these retro looking stereo bookshelf speakers include a variety of audio inputs, including HDMI-ARC. That means they can easily connect to a TV and be used instead of a sound bar. In addition to HDMI-ARC, the Fives feature an integrated phono pre-amp, Bluetooth® wireless technology, digital optical, analog RCA and USB inputs. A subwoofer output is also included. No audio/video receiver required.

Sound Quality

“The Fives are best-in-class powered speakers which are several steps above other Klipsch powered monitors, including the R-51PMs“, says Rob Standley, Klipsch Vice President of Product and Marketing. The company also claims The Fives deliver a big, bold sound stage, and a better listening experience than the common sound bar. The Fives incorporate award-winning, proprietary Klipsch Reference acoustic horn-loaded technology and tuning to deliver loud and precise audio with enhanced bass and low distortion. Built-in dynamic bass equalization matches the ear’s ability to hear lower frequencies, delivering powerful bass at any volume. Plus, audiophiles will appreciate 192kHz/24-bit decoding for flawless reproduction of high-resolution audio tracks.

“The Fives are simply the most versatile speakers on Earth.”

Design

The Fives incorporate individual ultra-low noise amplifiers that are custom designed to maximize system performance and eliminate the need for external amplification. World-class Klipsch engineers picked and tuned the components to be an absolute perfect match throughout, making the system sound incredibly immersive and complete. The Fives are also bi-amped (60-watts to each woofer + 20-watts to each tweeter) resulting in improved clarity and output.

Klipsch The Fives Powered Speakers Exploded Drivers

The Fives feature 1” titanium tweeters on Tractrix® horns, a proprietary technology that has been the driving force behind Klipsch acoustics. Each powered monitor also features a 4.5” long-throw woofer and is ported to provide enhanced bass.

Made with luxury materials such as real wood veneer and tactile switches and knobs, The Fives blend the acoustics and classic design legacy of Klipsch products with the latest technologies available today.
