IOGEAR GMP6600P GearPower High Capacity Mobile Power Station

IOGEAR introduced a portable dual-device charging accessory for tablets, smartphones, cameras and other mobile USB and Micro-USB devices. The new GearPower High Capacity Mobile Power Station (GMP6600P) offers an impressive 6600 mAh, enough to revive two devices at once, using the power station's USB 2.1A and 1A power ports. The 1A port will support most cell phones, smart phones, iPhones, iPods, BlackBerry phones, digital cameras and MP3 players. The USB 2.1A port supports iPads, tablets and those devices supported by USB 1A.

Lithium polymer battery technology is making storage solutions like the GearPower High Capacity Mobile Power Station, increasingly efficient. Battery draining phone and tablet applications as well as the need for travelers, students, commuters and others to stay connected have increased demand for secondary charging solutions. As more devices are sold, more on-the-go charging will be necessary.

Before use, the GearPower High Capacity Mobile Power Station must be charged by connecting the Micro-USB cable to a computer's USB or by using the Micro-USB wall outlet power adapter. A comforting blue LED battery capacity indicator shares the station's current power level, and unlike some charging pad solutions, there is no threat of over-heating connected devices.

Weighing in at a tote-friendly 0.75 lbs, the station also comes with a carrying case for protection when in transport.

Price and Availability
The IOGEAR GMP6600P GearPower High Capacity Mobile Power Station is available now for $79.95.
