WOODBURY, NY — At CEDIA Expo 2006, Infinity Systems today announced the introduction of its redesigned Total Solutions TSS-1200, TSS-800 and TSS-500 home theater loudspeaker systems, three compact 5.1-channel speaker packages that combine striking new design with superlative performance and versatile installation options.
The TSS-1200, TSS-800 and TSS-500 packages include two-way satellite speakers, a center channel loudspeaker and a powered subwoofer. All systems feature premium-quality drivers and components; the TSS-800 and TSS-1200 systems incorporate Infinity’s acclaimed Metal Matrix Diaphragm (MMD) driver technology to deliver extraordinary sonic accuracy and refinement.
The Infinity Total Solutions systems include the following:
• TSS-1200 (four 2-way satellites and center channel with 3/4-inch MMD tweeter and dual 3-1/2-inch MMD woofers; 12-inch MMD, 250-watt powered subwoofer); SRP: $1,299/system
• TSS-800 (four 2-way satellites with 3/4-inch MMD tweeter and 3-1/2-inch MMD woofer; center channel speaker with 3/4-inch MMD tweeter and dual 3-1/2-inch MMD woofers; 10-inch, 150-watt powered subwoofer); SRP: $899/system
• TSS-500 (four 2-way satellites with 3/4-inch tweeter and 2-1/2-inch woofer; center channel speaker with 1/2-inch tweeter and dual 2-1/2-inch woofers; 8-inch, 100-watt powered subwoofer); SRP: $549/system

Striking Appearance; Exceptional Sound Quality and Installation Versatility
The new Total Solutions systems are distinctively contemporary in appearance, embodying Infinity’s heritage of excellence in loudspeaker design. The wall-mountable satellites and center channel feature contoured top and side panels with gracefully contoured, curved and tapered surfaces. The subwoofer’s rounded enclosure complements the refined elegance of the rest of the system. Available in a stunning platinum or charcoal finish with matching grilles, the systems’ visual appeal and slim form perfectly complement ultrathin rear-projection TVs and flat-panel video displays.
All three systems offer versatile installation flexibility. The satellites and center channel can be mounted on a wall using either supplied fixed wall-mount brackets, or adjustable wall-mount brackets that enable the satellites and center channel to be aimed for best sound coverage. The satellites can also be placed on a shelf using their included detachable shelf stands, and the center channel can be placed on top of a TV or shelf. In addition, optional matching floor stands for the satellites are available.
The drivers used in the TSS-1200 and TSS-800 systems incorporate the company’s proven MMD driver technology. MMD driver cones are manufactured by anodizing both sides of an aluminum core to a controlled thickness, producing low-mass, highly rigid driver diaphragms that operate with greatly reduced distortion, and deliver extraordinary transient response, resolution and smoothness throughout their entire frequency range. The sonic result is articulate bass, a detailed, musically accurate midrange, open, extended high frequencies and exceptionally natural vocal and instrumental reproduction. The TSS-500 system utilizes high-performance dome tweeters and cone woofers to achieve clear, dynamic, musically involving reproduction of movie soundtracks and music.
Total Solutions systems are designed to deliver sonically accurate performance in the widest variety of listening environments and placement positions. The TSS-1200, TSS-800 and TSS-500 employ Infinity’s room-friendly acoustical design principles, such as tweeters that are mounted in specially shaped waveguides to provide precise imaging and even frequency response over a broad listening area. The subwoofers all include a full complement of controls and inputs to achieve optimum bass response in any system and room.
The Infinity Total Solutions TSS-800, TSS-500 and TSS-1200 will begin shipping in October 2006.
