Honda to Equip Over 550,000 Vehicles With XM Satellite Radio for 2006

2006 Honda Civic and Pilot are latest models to offer XM as a factory-installed feature

Washington D.C., October 13, 2005 — XM Satellite Radio (NASDAQ: XMSR), the nation’s leading provider of satellite radio with over 5 million subscribers, today announced that American Honda Motor, one of the world’s most successful automotive brands, will factory-install over 550,000 of its 2006 vehicles with XM Satellite Radio. That means a record number of Honda and Acura brand passenger cars and trucks will arrive at dealer showrooms able to deliver more than 150 XM channels of award-winning music, news, sports, talk, traffic, weather and entertainment programming.

For the first time ever, XM is now factory-installed on the all-new 2006 Honda Civic, one of the best-selling model lines in the U.S., and the award-winning 2006 Honda Pilot sport-utility vehicle. The following Honda models also include XM Satellite Radio as a factory-installed feature for the 2006 model year: Honda Accord, Honda Accord Hybrid, Honda Pilot, Honda Odyssey, Honda Element, and Honda Ridgeline.

XM Satellite Radio is a standard factory-installed feature on all Acura RL, Acura TL, Acura TSX and Acura MDX models.

“The rapid expansion of XM Satellite Radio across the Honda and Acura lineups demonstrate the broad appeal of XM’s award-winning content offering,” said Paul Kirsch, vice president, OEM, for XM Satellite Radio. “XM is a perfect complement to the exceptional driving experience for Honda Civic and Honda Pilot owners.”
