Holiday Rebate Offers Up-to-$50 Savings on Hot New HD Radio Receivers

Columbia, MD — October 12, 2006 — A new HD Radio Holiday Rebate Program was announced today that will reduce HD Radio receiver prices up to $50. The Program applies to 20 HD Radio receivers, from table tops to car connector adapters, and makes many more products available to consumers for under $200. The Rebate begins today, Thursday, October 12, 2006, and runs through January 14, 2007.

“This holiday shopping season is an excellent time to give friends and family the gift of HD Radio. More than 1,000 HD Radio stations are on the air with more than 400 offering multicasting channels. And during the past year, retail prices of HD Radio receivers have fallen substantially,” said Robert Struble, president and CEO, iBiquity Digital Corporation, the developer and licenser of HD Radio technology. “The Holiday Rebate Program will help more consumers enjoy the HD Radio experience, discover fresh new content on HD2 and HD3 channels, access more information through HD Radio text capabilities and, of course, hear the great sound quality that HD Radio broadcasting offers.”

National HD Radio retailers include: RadioShack, Tweeter, select Circuit City stores, Amazon.com and Crutchfield. There are also hundreds of other regional and specialty retailers who carry HD Radio products, including: ABC Warehouse, Harvey Home Entertainment, HiFi Buys, Ken Cranes, Mickey Schorr Mobile Electronics, Showcase Home Entertainment and Sound Advice.
