HAI Introduces OmniTouch 5.7, a Larger Touchscreen Interface for the Award-Winning Omni and Lumina Home Control Systems

New Orleans, LA — Sept. 6, 2007

Home Automation, Inc. (HAI), a leading manufacturer of integrated security and home automation products since 1985, has announced the availability of the OmniTouch 5.7, a colorful “plug and play” Touchscreen interface for HAI’s award-winning Omni and Lumina home control systems.

The OmniTouch 5.7 allows control of lights and small appliances, security and temperature settings, pool and spa temperatures, ventilation, decorative lighting, Whole Home Audio Systems, surveillance video, and other items linked to an HAI Home Control system. In addition it features a larger 5.7 inch LCD display using TFT technology for rich colors and improved viewing angles. It displays video full screen (Touchscreen Hub and Encoder necessary for video), has a speaker instead of a beeper, and has a built-in USB drive connector to allow easy firmware updates.

“Our original OmniTouch has been a very successful product for our customers,” explains HAI President Jay McLellan. “This new product is everything the original was but much more. The OmniTouch 5.7 is a direct result of our commitment to offer the most innovative, reliable, easy to use and affordable home control products on the market.”

The OmniTouch 5.7 (HAI part number 53A00-1) is compatible with all HAI controllers, including the Omni LT, Omni IIe, OmniPro II, Lumina and Lumina Pro. It comes in White, with color change kits available in Almond, Light Almond, Black, Ivory, and Silver. It is currently shipping and available through HAI’s worldwide Distribution network.
