Gefen Delivers Component Video With Audio Solutions

WOODLAND HILLS, CA – Widening its selection of connectivity solutions to support today’s component video sources and displays, Gefen announced three new products for the widely used video format. With Gefen’s trademark ingenuity, all three include supplemental audio so HDTV viewing is fully enabled.

Two new Component Audio to HDMI Adapters offer plug and play methods of intermixing different formats within the same HDTV system. In the ideal, they enable component video sources with either digital (TOSlink) or analog (RCA stereo) audio to be digitized and delivered in HDMI format. This allows high definition resolutions up to 1080p to be viewed on any HDMI display or projector, with full HDMI-compliance and digital audio intertwined with the video.

The Gefen Component Audio Extender uses a sender and receiver system connected by just one category-5e cable to link local sources with remote displays up to 330 feet (100 meters) in length. Perfect for any installation where high quality audio and video must traverse a distance, Gefen’s Component Audio Extender ensures a remote performance unimpeded by signal delays or degradation, supporting high definition resolutions up to 1080p. Both digital (S/PDIF or TOSlink) and analog (RCA stereo) audio are delivered real time with this new extender, making it a versatile solution for today’s diverse installations.

All three new solutions are currently available for purchase, available through Gefen’s wide network of distributors located around the world, or directly from the manufacturer.
