Easily Switch Between Two Hi-Def Sources and Two Mirrored Displays
Connectivity solutions provider Gefen today announced the release of its 2×2 Switcher for HDMI v1.3, giving plug and play access to two video sources from two displays using the HDMI v1.3 format. With support for enhanced features such as deep color, lip sync, DTS Master Audio and Dolby True HD, this switcher offers a high quality method of system integration.
HDCP compliance and CEC pass-through capability ensure this switcher will work with all of today’s high definition systems. Resolutions are supported at 1080p full HD. Blu-ray players, set-top boxes, gaming consoles and any device using the HDMI format to connect to a display can be accessed and viewed using Gefen’s 2×2 Switcher for HDMI v1.3.
Gefen’s 2×2 Switcher for HDMI v1.3 supplies two HDMI inputs and two HDMI outputs, driven by a 5-volt power supply. Both HDMI outputs are mirrored, showing the same hi-def video and audio from the selected source. Users switch between sources using the IR remote that comes with the unit. EDID and reset buttons are included to fine tune imagery and improve connectivity.
To install, users simply connect their two hi-def sources to the Switcher’s HDMI inputs, and their two HDTVs and/or projectors to the Switcher’s HDMI outputs. No complex procedures are needed to switch between both sources, viewing the selected source on both HDTVs at the same time.
