Simple-to-use, water-resistant mobile phone that ensures long-lasting comfort

Fujitsu just announced that its new STYLE series F-08B mobile phone will be available from NTT DOCOMO, Inc. in Japan beginning June 18, 2010. This stylish mobile phone features a simple design, which is characterized by the “ekubo” (meaning “dimple”) indentation on its front panel. As a water-resistant phone, the F-08B is suitable for users looking to select a mobile phone to their liking which they can use for a long period of time.

As the upgrade cycle for mobile phones continues to lengthen, there is a growing need to accommodate users who tend to use their mobile phones for an extended period of time. The F-08B features a simple design that users will never tire of, including an “ekubo” indentation on the phone’s front panel that resembles a dimple. When a user touches the “ekubo” (or ” dimple”), the phone senses the pressure and produces a delicate light. The illuminations also light up when a call or e-mail is received. Users can choose up to 406 different illumination patterns1, including a candle flame-like pattern that flickers based on 1/f fluctuations2.

The mobile phone is also equipped with a plethora of other features to satisfy diverse user needs, including enlarged fonts, enhanced privacy mode, one-segment TV, “Osaifu-Keitai” (literally “wallet mobile phone”), and an exercise monitor. Furthermore, due to its water-resistant feature (IPX5/IPX7/IPX83), the phone is suitable for use in a wide range of situations, such as in the kitchen or bathroom.

The F-08B is available in five colors: Innocent White, Rose Gold, Pale Green, Baby Pink, and Ash Black.

The docomo STYLE series F-08B is a superbly practical water-resistant phone that will ensure long-lasting comfort in use.

Product Features

  1. “ekubo” design and illuminations
The phone’s natural and simple form is accented with an “ekubo” indentation that resembles a dimple. The “ekubo” is highlighted with delicate illuminations that shine softly and naturally. In addition, with seven different colors incorporated into the keypad backlight, users can turn on a rainbow key illumination feature whenever a key is pressed or the phone is opened.
  2. Water-resistance (IPX5/IPX7/IPX8)
The water resistance (IPX5/IPX7/IPX8) feature of F-08B makes it possible for users to operate the phone with wet hands while cooking in the kitchen or bathroom, thereby expanding the range of situations in which users can use their mobile phones.
  3. Easy-to-read buttons and enlarged fonts
