FOTONATION IRELAND LTD OPENS TOKYO OFFICE

ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF JAPAN-BASED
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Tokyo, Japan, November 22, 2005– FotoNation Ireland Ltd, a subsidiary of FotoNation Inc. (www.fotonation.com), one of the world’s leading imaging and connectivity solutions companies for the digital photography industry, announced today the opening of their office in Tokyo, Japan. Focusing on customer relations, sales and support, the Tokyo office will be headed up by Sumat Mehra, who has been appointed Business Development Manager.

Sumat Mehra has over fifteen years of unmatched experience in the photo imaging industry and business development. He holds a Graduate Degree in Imaging Science from the Rochester Institute of Technology; and with his unique breadth and diversity of experience in the industry, brings a new dimension of skill and perception to the FotoNation team.

Japan is home to many of the best known digital camera manufactures in the world — many of them already FotoNation customers. Situated within Enterprise Ireland’s (the Trade and Technology Board of the Government of Ireland) office facility in the heart of Tokyo, the new office will provide FotoNation with an immediate market presence in Japan, strengthening its relations with existing and future customers. FotoNation will develop the Asian market for its groundbreaking Connected Photography and Imaging-Technology-For-Cameras (ITFC) initiatives, which include in-camera image processing (such as red eye removal), image quality enhancement, wireless connectivity for imaging devices and photo-sharing technologies.

“I’m delighted to welcome Sumat to the team. He is a highly qualified professional and long-time colleague of mine,” said Eran Steinberg, CEO of FotoNation. “I am confident he will assist FotoNation in forging even stronger business relationships in this territory. The new office represents yet another stage in our long-term commitment to our existing and future customers in the highly respected Japanese imaging industry.”

Anne Lanigan, Director, Japan for Enterprise Ireland, said, “I welcome FotoNation to our incubator centre. It is a source of great pride to see an Irish company like FotoNation selling their technology into the home of the world’s best engineers, and it is vital for such an advanced technology company to have a presence in the second biggest market in the world.”
